A Message from the Township

SCOPE

This project consists of the replacement, upgrade and extension of a pedestrian path on the north side of Lake Road from South Finley Avenue to Mt. Airy Road. Existing retaining walls along the pedestrian path will be removed and/or replaced and in some locations, new retaining walls will be constructed. Pedestrian ramps will be brought into ADA conformance where required and additional curbing will be installed in several areas to assist with grading and stormwater runoff. By the conclusion of the project, the entire limits of Lake Road will be milled, paved, restriped and all disturbed areas will be topsoiled and seeded.

PROJECT UPDATE

To date, the contractor has completed all curbing and concrete sidewalk replacements throughout the project limits as well as retaining walls east of Culberson Road. Stone base for the pedestrian path has been completed from South Finley Avenue to Culberson Road. Stone base work for the path is progressing west of Culberson while a separate crew is constructing the final retaining wall near Kinnan Way. Path and wall work will continue for several weeks which will be followed by a full week of milling and paving. Lane closures for construction zones will be established as the crews move down the street with eastbound traffic open in the morning for school traffic. Please use caution when driving through the area.
