September 24, 2014 - Early Dismissal Elementary Schools Only
On Wednesday September 24th, Elementary Schools ONLY will be dismissing at 12:45PM for in-service activities. There will be no PM preschool and lunch will not be provided. However, the after care program will run as usual. The 12:45PM dismissal is ONLY happening at the elementary schools. The middle and high schools are running a regular full day schedule.
Possible Interruption in Bus Service
Below please find the road sealing schedule. These roads will be closed from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, or as the material cures and can be opened to traffic. Bus service may be interrupted if vehicles cannot pass. The transportation office can be contacted at (908) 541-9574. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Friday, September 19th: Some work was done on Oakley Street, Courter Street, Belle Grove Court, Schindler Court, and Manor Drive. These roads are now open.
Monday, September 22nd: Penwood Road and Beechwood Road.
Tuesday, September 23rd: Chapin Lane, William Street, and North Brook Avenue.
Wednesday, September 24th: More work will continue on Oakley Street, Courter Street, Belle Grove Court, Schindler Court, and Manor Drive.
PSAT REGISTRATION INFORMATION
ATTENTION ALL 10TH AND 11TH GRADE STUDENTS: All 10th and 11th grade students will be offered an opportunity to take the PSAT on Saturday, October 18, 2014. The registration fee to take the PSAT is $26.00. Please click here to obtain registration information & instructions. All PSAT registrations must be completed by 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, 2014. Any student who has a question about the administration of the PSAT, should see his/her school counselor in advance.

Home Access Center
Please be advised that at this stage we believe that all of the technical issues with Home Access Center have been resolved and parents should be able to log in to view student schedules. Please note that due to updates to the Home Access Center software, you may notice some changes. In addition, the upgraded Home Access Center software is supported by the following internet browsers:
Internet Explorer 9, 10, or 11 (not in compatibility view); Firefox - current release plus 4 prior versions; Safari 5.1.7; Chrome - current release plus 4 prior versions
If logging in to Home Access Center continues to be problematic, please contact your school to make them aware of the problem. Thank you.
2014 School Board Election
The Bernards Township Board of Education will have one, 1-year, one, 2-year, and three, 3-year vacancies available in the Annual School Board Election. The election will take place the day of the general election on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. For more information, please click here.
Board of Education Vacancy
The Board of Education is currently accepting applications for a vacant seat on the Board that will be available effective July 21, 2014. Interested individuals must contact Christina Hendricks at the Board of Education Office at 908-204-2600 x 106 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org in order to request an application packet. The completed application packets must be submitted by July 15, 2014. The Board of Education will review applications and select candidates to be interviewed at the July 21, 2014 Board of Education meeting. Attendance at the July 21st Board of Education meeting is mandatory. It is the intent of the Board to make a final selection on July 21st, after the interviews; the successful candidate would be sworn in immediately.
Summer Activities Program
The Summer Activities Program offers a wide variety of enriching courses for students who have completed kindergarten through fifth grade. Courses take place at Mount Prospect School in the month of July. Click here for course listings and registration information. Come and join the fun!
2014-15 Subscription Busing
